Since the beginning of this year till now, the security incidents in Al-Anbar governorate has resulted to displace about 3500 people according to statistics of the Iraqi Red Crescent’s teams, and they were trapped in different areas at the mentioned governorate. The director of Operations Department in the Iraqi Red Crescent Ahmed Kadhom said “The Red Crescent’s teams in Al-Anbar has received more than (3500) displaced people from Sufia and Al-sjariha’a area to Habbaniah and Ameriyat Al-Fallujah areas, while the families have been sheltered in Sabee sanabol and Al-salam camp in Ameriyat Al-Fallujah, and Al-Qaseer camp in Habbaniyah”.
On the other hand, Muhannad Saleh/relief teams in Al-Anbar said “Since the beginning of the events in the governorate earlier this year, our relief teams have received more than 3500 displaced people from various regions of the governorate when the Iraqi army provide them with safe access, and after their arrival to safer areas in Al-Anbar, our relief teams in Ameriyah Al-Fallujah and Habbaniah have received the displaced families and distributed them on three camps as: 2965 displaced people in Al-Qaseer camp, 2250 displaced people in Sabee sanabol camp and 135 displaced people in the camp in Al-salam camp in Ameriyat Al-Fallujah”.
Muhannad Saleh also added “The Red Crescent’s teams has distributed ready meals daily for the displaced people in Al-Qaseer camp, in addition to distributed more than (850) food parcels and more than (5,000) blankets to displaced families in the camps, our teams have also organized more than (25) first aid training workshop to that families, and training a number of them to be first aiders to take advantage of them to providing first aid to the displaced in the camps”.
