The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has distributed food assistance to more than 1,200 families in the city of Qayarah after the return of displaced families to their own homes. The head of Erbil branch Howera Ihssan said “After obtaining the approval from the leadership of operations at the city and under the direct supervision by the president of IRCS Dr. Yaseen Al-Mamouri, we been managed to access the city of Qayarah and distributed food parcels and relief material for the families who are returning to their homes”. He also added that the Crescents’ teams distributed food parcels to more than 1,200 families, however the distribution operations will continue until a few days so that to target the most possible number of the returning families.
