Iraqi Red Crescent Society An independent national humanitarian society that works to reduce the suffering and pain of people without discrimination during the peace and war , natural disasters and non-natural disasters , it is also considered one of the most activist societies in the international movement of Red Cross and Red Crescent.
IRCS has declared organizing several humanitarian activities especially first aid workshop where a theoretical and practical lectures delivered to (20) volunteer , another workshop to discuss the media situation inside the governmental institution and how to raise and make success ; the workshop has been attended by a number of journalists in addition to journalists union board member in Basra branch , there was also a workshop to identifying IRCS and its humanitarian effort and its principles to new volunteers , in addition to that visits to Basra traffic directorate and a police station in the governorate workshops have been organized to identify IHL principles in security institutions to disseminate IHL principles.
