The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has announced the distribution of the second batch of food assistance in cooperation with the Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) to the displaced families in Basrah governorate.
As the Crescent’s teams have distributed food assistance to more than 100 displaced families in the district of Al-Zubeer and Governorate Centre.
Mr. Ahmed Abdullah, the envoy of KRCS has confirmed that the second batch covers about 100 families, indicating that the coming days will witness distribution of other payments which will cover the needs of about 3000 families that represent the total number of displaced families that distributed in center of governorate and its districts.
He also added “the assistance included food aid that needed by families in their daily lives so that to alleviate their suffering”. He praises at the same time the high discipline of the IRCS volunteers in the operations of distributing aid.
