Within its projects to support displaced people, the Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has opened a free of charge bakery for displaced families in the Al-Najaf on the road of Najaf – Karbala that can products more than 4,000 pieces of bread daily, in which there were a number of displaced families has got bread.
This project is one of the most important projects of IRCS for displaced families, as there were three electric bakeries previously installed in the governorates of (Babylon, Karbala and Irbil) in order to provide food item to the displaced families to overcome the difficulties of life. This project aims to secure the necessary sustenance for displaced families. TRCS’s teams have provided the bakery with equipment and raw materials, adding to determine the mechanism of distribution in which the bakery can provide more than 400 families per day.
IRCS takes upon itself the responsibility of providing displaced people with developmental services and give a number of important services to displaced families, who were displaced to some governorates, like providing (relief, food and therapeutic) assistance in an effort to support the displaced people and to provide a decent living for them, IRCS also carrying out its social and humanitarian role for the good of all.
