The Iraqi Red Crescent Society builds 1,300 housing units instead of camps for Syrian refugees in Erbil Governorate in collaboration with the French and the German Red Cross

The Iraqi Red Crescent Society (IRCS) has built 1,300 housing units instead of camps for Syrian refugees in Kkawelan camps in cooperation with the French Red Cross and the German Red Cross.
The coordinator of Media in Erbil IRCS branch, Kadhum Osman Tawfeq said “the IRCS’s teams has built more than 1,300 housing units as a first step for Syrian refugees in collaboration with French Red Cross and the German Red Cross, in which the IRCSs’ teams have transported more than 1,300 Syrian refugee families from Kkawelan camp and being housed in the residential units”.
Kazem Osman also said that the IRCSs’ teams in Erbil are still ongoing in the collaboration with International Partners so that to provide humanitarian services to the Syrian refugees, noting that the work is still ongoing for building housing units for the mentioned refugees.
